During term time, CUSAS hosts a weekly seminar series that is open to all staff and students (undergraduates and post-graduates). Seminars are usually held from 5:00-6:30pm in the Seminar Room in the Division of Social Anthropology, Free School Lane (map). Seminar speakers include members of the Division of Social Anthropology (staff, post-docs, and sometimes PhD students), visiting faculty, staff from elsewhere at the University of Cambridge, as well as academics invited from other Universities across the UK.
CUSAS also regularly organizes Brown Bag lunches, which are a space for staff members to informally speak to students about their career development, research interests, and the world of social anthropology. Brown Bag lunches take place on Wednesdays from 1-2pm in the Seminar Room, a couple times a term.
